Leading British actress Joely Richardson stars alongside UK TV's number one heartthrob Shane Richie in his big screen debut SHOREDITCH. In addition to their acting talents, the two stars also display other skills in this crime thriller - Richie takes on the role of Executive Co-Producer and Richardson shows off a fine talent as a jazz and blues vocalist performing a handful of songs which feature in the soundtrack.

Set in London in 1939 and present day, this dark and mysterious thriller takes us to a small jazz club named "Say When" situated in Shoreditch, London, at the start of the Second World War. The club is run by Thomas Hickman (Shane Richie) and his wife Massie (Natasha Wightman), who seem to have it all: a flourishing business and a happy marriage. That is until a beautiful unknown singer, Butterfly (Joely Richardson), enters the club.

Butterfly is the kind of woman not afraid to use her beauty in order to get what she wants, and she has her eyes set on Thomas, who finds himself unable to resist her. Caught between the two women, Thomas devises an elaborate plan to prevent hurting either of his loves.

Fast-forward to the present day: Tom (Adam Ross), and his girlfriend Abigail (Claire Tyler) share a house with their friend Chad (Brian Bovell). Their carefree lifestyle is interrupted when a solicitor informs Tom that he has inherited a disused office block in Shoreditch. When exploring the building, the three discover the "Say When" jazz club bricked up in the basement. Apart from a colourful backdrop and history, the club also reveals the body of a man...

SHOREDITCH is written, produced and directed by Malcolm Needs with a guest appearance by chart topper Dane Bowers. Executive Producers are Shane Richie and Terrence S Potter.
