Broken Lizard is back... and this time America's favorite new comedy group (of the runaway hit SUPER TROOPERS) takes off on a trip so outrageously fun... it's murder. Welcome to Coconut Pete's Pleasure Island, a sun-kissed, booze-soaked resort where high-spirited comic hijinx are about to meet up with machete-wielding horror. It all starts when a group of fun-seeking young travelers arrive on the island ready to party with the resort's staff, who are there to provide them with every legal form of leisure on earth, and then some. Run by the washed-up pop star Coconut Pete (Bill Paxton), still basking in the fame of his hit 70s single "Pina Colada-Burg," the island provides the ultimate kick-back holiday... that is, until islanders start kicking the bucket.

When dead bodies start to show up in surprising places, the 24-hour party is in danger of grinding to a halt. But Coconut Pete wouldn't dream of bumming out his guests. So, while the resort-goers tan, guzzle and get their groove on, the staff frantically attempts to figure out who is stalking them.

No one escapes suspicion. Could it be Sam (Erik Stolhanske) of the Fun Police brigade, who is quick on the trigger of his tequila-loaded super-soaker? Or is it Jenny (Brittany Daniel), the over-sexed fitness instructor whose aerobic mentor met an untimely demise? Perhaps it is Juan (Steve Lemme), the Speedo-wearing dive master with a mysterious South American past; or Putman (Jay Chandrasekhar), the bratty-British tennis coach with the frighteningly bogus accent.

Then there's Dave (Paul Soter), the ecstasy-crazed, jealousy-fueled nephew of Coconut Pete; and who wouldn't be afraid of the new guy Lars (Kevin Heffernan), a burly masseur with a special "touch" that can render anyone into instant Jell-O?

As the tension mounts, and the killer takes out staff members one by one, those who are left must battle against time, terror and their own scary incompetence as they fight to survive... It's just another day in paradise.

The Club Dread - Uncut DVD includes 22 deleted scenes that were way too depraved for the theatrical release. Also on the disc are a couple of hilarious commentaries - one from director Jay Chandrasekhar and writer Eric Stolhanske and the second from the writers & actors Paul Soter, Steve Lemme, Kevin Heffernan - the boys that complete the Broken Lizard gang.

BROKEN LIZARD'S CLUB DREAD is the third feature film from the five-man comedy group who also created SUPER TROOPERS and PUDDLE CRUISER (which took Best Film at the Hampton's Film Festival). The film is written by Broken Lizard and directed by the group's Jay Chandrasekhar. The producer is Richard Perello.
