'It's a strange world'!

In this bizarrely repellent, kinky thriller, Jeffrey Beaumont (Kyle MacLachlan) returns to his home town after being away and discovers a severed human ear in a field. Not satisfied with the police's pace, he and the police detective's daughter Sandy Williams (Laura Dern), carry out their own investigation. The object of his investigation turns out to be a beautiful and mysterious cabaret singer Dorothy Valence (Isabella Rossellini), involved with a violent and perversely evil man Frank Booth (Dennis Hopper).

The film's painful realism reminds us that we are not immune to the disturbing events which transpire in BLUE VELVET's sleepy community. There is a darker side of life waiting for us all.

The 1986 David Lynch, multiple award winning classic, BLUE VELVET starring Kyle MacLachlan, Isabella Rossellini, Dennis Hopper, and Laura Dern is re-released in the UK. Fifteen years since the film's original theatrical release and a generation later the film has again been rated 18 in the UK. Named best film of the year by the US National Society of Film Critics, this is one of cinema's true masterpieces - love it or hate it, BLUE VELVET cannot be ignored.
