Synopsis

Winner of a German Film Award and a major commercial and critical success in Germany, No Place to Go is the fascinating portrait of a glamorous writer torn between her ideals and the realities of the new Germany.

Autumn 1989. Having lived for years in a posh Munich apartment, clutching onto the fast-fading fame she earned as a controversial left-wing writer, Hanna Flanders (Hannelore Elsner) is forced to re-think her life when confronted by the unforgettable images of the fall of the Berlin Wall. She sells everything she owns and sets out for Berlin to find a new beginning for herself...
