A comedy about what happens when good sex, bad behaviour and a sexy younger man test three women's friendship.
Kate (Andie MacDowell) is headmistress in a girls' school in a small English town: forty years old, successful and respectable, and on her own. Every Monday, she gets together with her other single successful friends, Molly (Anna Chancellor) and Janine (Imelda Staunton) where they drink gin, eat chocolate and decide who is the 'Saddest of the Week'.
Everything changes when Kate meets an ex-pupil, Jed (Kenny Doughty) who though only 25 she falls for him and has sex with him. What does she tell her friends?
