Synopsis

In this much anticipated instalment of the blockbuster THE CHRONICLES OF NARNIA motion picture franchise, sees the return of Edmund and Lucy Pevensie, along with their cousin Eustace, royal friend King Caspian, and warrior mouse, Reepicheep.

Lucy and Edmond are spending a dreary holiday with their cousin Eustace Clarence Scrub, who is a rather dour and mean spirited little boy. They are unexpectedly drawn into Narnia when a painting of a ship on the wall of Lucy’s room comes to life, and the three children fall into the ocean to be rescued by the Dawn Treader.

Once safely on board, Lucy and Edmond are greeted by their friend Caspian (now King Caspian), who has undertaken a quest to find the seven lost Lords of Narnia, as he had previously promised to Aslan. Lucy and Edmond are delighted to be back in Narnia, but Eustace is less than enthusiastic. Reepicheep is also on board, as he has vowed to find the seas of the ‘utter east’.

The fate of Narnia itself rests on the success of their mission, which takes the courageous voyagers to mysterious islands, a pool that turns anything it touches into gold, fateful confrontations with magical creatures and sinister enemies, and a reunion with their friend and protector, the “Great Lion” Aslan.

Return to the magic and wonder of C S Lewis’ beloved world, with stars Ben Barnes (King Caspian), Skandar Keynes (Edmund Pevensie) and Georgie Henley (Lucy Pevensie), alongside newcomer to the franchise, Will Poulter (Eustace). Starring alongside are Bill Nighy as the voice of Reepicheep and Liam Neeson who returns to the voice of Aslan.

Michael Apted directs from a screenplay by Christopher Markus, Stephen McFeely, Richard LaGravenese and Michael Petroni, based upon the novel by C S Lewis. The producers are Mark Johnson, Andrew Adamson and Philip Steuer.
