Academy Award nominated director Jean-Paul Rappeneau (CYRANO DE BERGERAC, HORSEMAN ON THE ROOF) unites the cream of French acting talent in BON VOYAGE, Rappeneau's first film since HORSEMAN ON THE ROOF. Nominated for 11 Cesar Awards, BON VOYAGE also sees Jean-Paul Rappeneau and Gerard Depardieu united for the first time since the phenomenal success of CYRANO DE BERGERAC.
Action and adventure unite in this hilarious comedy. Against a back-drop of confusion and tumult Isabelle Adjani (LA REINE MARGOT, SUBWAY) stars as the actress, Gerard Depardieu (GREEN CARD, CYRANO DE BERGERAC) as the politician, Virginie Ledoyen (THE BEACH, 8 WOMEN) as the impassioned student and Gregori Derangere (OFFICER'S WARD) as the writer, Yvan Attal (as the hoodlum), and Peter Coyote (as the journalist) all thrown together in the face of a defeated France at the start of World War II.
The fate of the free world hangs in the balance at the posh Hotel Splendide in Bordeaux. Cabinet members, journalists, physicists, and spies of all persuasions gather in order to escape the Nazi occupation of Paris. High society socialites hobnob with jailbirds. Murderous intrigues, scientific secrets and love affairs flourish.
In Jean-Paul Rappeneau's BON VOYAGE, elaborate personal schemes and political plots escalate, intersect and fly off in all directions, as a young man (Gregori Derangere) must choose between Viviane Denvers (Isabelle Adjani) and Camille (Virginie Ledoyen), an impassioned student, between politicians and hoodlums, between carefree youth and adulthood.
